The most common food in Nepal is Daal Bhaat which means Rice and Beans. You will find this food almost everywhere in Nepal. While travelling you must be careful to carry your own water bottles. The water is not purified in local places which may lead to an upset stomach or other water related diseases. Make sure you do not fill water from lakes and ponds as they aren’t certified enough to drink. To get drinking water, you can ask at any shop for boiled water.

While going on treks and or hikes make sure that you have a companion or more with you. You might get lost or might need help for an emergency. You never know what to expect while travelling so it is advised to go along with a guide or a companion to go around the place. This way there is less chance of you getting lost. Don’t be shy to ask for help. Nepali people are very kind and will help you if you need it. Just make sure that you are polite and are not disrespectful to their culture. You can start with a ‘Namaste’ or ‘Namaskar’ which is the sign of greeting in the country. They will be more than happy to see you in Visit Nepal 2020!
